Fibre Alchemy is a jewellery and accessory design competition that challenges participants to transform fibres, fabrics, threads, cords, beads, and decorative materials into stunning wearable creations.

Participants must incorporate atleast one fibre into their design
The Green Twist
-
Every jewellery piece must feature at least two thoughtfully chosen elements that reflect sustainability, environmental awareness, or responsible design practices. Participants are encouraged to seamlessly blend these elements into their creation, demonstrating that elegance and sustainability can coexist beautifully. The interpretation of this challenge is entirely up to the designer's imagination.
The Creative Catalyst

Adding an element of surprise, each team will receive The Creative Catalyst from the organizers at the start of the competition. This compulsory material must be creatively and visibly incorporated into the final design. The challenge encourages spontaneous problem-solving, originality, and the ability to transform an unexpected element into a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing creation.

The competition celebrates the idea that fashion and sustainability can coexist beautifully, inspiring young designers to think creatively, work collaboratively, and showcase their artistic vision through innovative wearable art.

Round 1: Concept and Creation (70 Minutes)

Teams will design and create an original jewellery or accessory piece. Along with the creation, teams must complete a Design Card containing:

Design Inspiration

Sustainable Elements Incorporated

Use of the Creative Catalyst
-
A Brief Concept Note (Maximum 50 Words)
Round 2: Designer's Showcase (2–3 Minutes per Team)

Teams will present their creation to the judges, explaining:
• The inspiration behind the design
• The materials and techniques used
• The sustainability-inspired elements incorporated
• The uniqueness and functionality of the final piece -
The presentation should reflect confidence, clarity, and the team's understanding of their design concept.

Time limit:- 75 minutes+Presentation time for each team
Materials
-
Teams must bring all materials and tools required for designing and creating their jewellery/accessory piece.
-
All the pieces must be made only during the event. Pre-made pieces will not be permitted
-
The organizers will provide the Creative Catalyst at the start of the competition.

The Creative Catalyst is compulsory and must be visibly incorporated into the final creation.
Judging Criteria
-
Creativity and Originality – Uniqueness of the design and innovative thinking.
Aesthetic Appeal – Visual attractiveness, elegance, and overall presentation of the jewellery/accessory.

Craftsmanship and Finish – Quality of construction, neatness, durability, and attention to detail.
-
Innovative Use of Materials – Creative and effective use of fibres, fabrics, threads, beads, and other materials.
-
Integration of Sustainability-Inspired Elements – Thoughtful incorporation of at least two sustainability-inspired elements into the design.

Creative Integration of the Creative Catalyst – Effectiveness, originality, and seamless incorporation of the organizer-provided design element into the final creation.
Design Concept – Clarity of inspiration, relevance of the design statement, and effectiveness of the Design Card.

Presentation and Communication – Ability to confidently explain the design process, inspiration, sustainability-inspired elements, and the use of the Creative Catalyst during the showcase.
Mandatory requirements for registration:
The registration fee is Rs 150/- per participant.
Participants registering through school need to upload the below soft copies in the registration form
● Bonafide certificate on the school letterhead
● The school ID card
