Event description:

• Step into the shoes of the framers of a nation and design a constitution that reflects the democratic ideals, values, and spirit of the Indian Constitution.

• Participants will be presented with a unique constitutional challenge and a specific constraint. Within 90 minutes, they must create the framework of an entirely new nation by drafting key elements of its constitution, inspired by the principles of justice, liberty, equality, fraternity, and democracy.

Each team must develop:

• A Motto for their nation

• A Preamble outlining the vision and aspirations of the state

• Five Fundamental Rights guaranteed to its citizens

• Five Laws that govern the nation and uphold its constitutional values

• Following the drafting session, participants will deliver a 5-minute presentation before a panel of judges, defending their constitutional choices, explaining the rationale behind their provisions, and demonstrating how their nation embodies the spirit of constitutional governance.

• Participants may bring their own laptops with internet connectivity or they may use the computers in the host school(in the Computer Lab)

• The document created will need to be shared by email to the organisers before the presentations
