Guidelines

  • Participants will have to come up with an innovative and practical product or service based on the themes given below

  • Participants have to advertise products or services that:

  1. foster sustainability

  2. help prevent global warming

  3. encourage eco-friendly practices in urban cities

 

  • Judges will be asked to invest in the most appealing and attractive product.

  • The final idea will have to be displayed by the participants to the judges in the form of a presentation which can range anywhere from 5 to 7 minutes.

  • The participants will be given a format of presentation. This must be strictly adhered to while giving the presentation/advertise.

  • The format will be shared with the participants via email, by 20th August

  • Participants are free to use any creative means to convince the judges which include but are not limited to:

a.  research

b. market surveys

c. logographic design

d. description of the idea

e. marketing plan or strategy

d. analysis of competition

e. targeted sector of user/population

f. images/drawings

  • Participants should showcase their ideation/ design process as well as the research or data relevant to the product

  • The event organisers will first conduct a check-in round at the event site at distinct timings during the day, which will be followed by the final presentation meeting with the judges

  • Judges will take note of the idea from a holistic perspective which includes but is not limited to profitability, innovation, research, social benefit, advertising/product positioning and the ideation factor

  • Untimely submission and deviation from the theme will lead to negative marking and disqualification in extreme circumstances.

  • Participants will also be marked on the originality of the idea and marks will be deducted if the judges feel that the idea has been plagiarized and the team will be vulnerable to removal from the event

  • Inappropriate content like derogatory terms and slang language is highly discouraged and will lead to severe negative marking if not disqualification

Judging Criteria

  • Innovation and novelty of the idea.

  • Design and aesthetic aspects of the logo. [Product Positioning]

  • Clear and comprehensive explanation of the idea.

  • Adherence to theme and given timelines.

  • Presentation skills and content which include flow, aesthetics, wordings, content and speaking skills.

  • Business aspects which include the profitability, market research, competitive analysis, investment and returns.

  • Overall attractiveness of the idea and presentation
